The mall went through a massive expansion between 1989 and 1993. Robinson's, rebranded by Louisiana's Maison Blanche in 1988, was replaced with a new store. It became a Gayfers in 1992. J.C. Penney also opened at FASHION SQUARE. The old Robinson's-Maison Blanche (in dark gray) was refitted with inline stores. With these improvements, the mall encompasses around 1,042,000 leasable square feet and houses 120 stores.
