Welcome to the largest mall and retail history site on the internet. The MALL HALL OF FAME is a vintage shopping mall scrapbook. Its focus is on shopping complexes built -in the USA- between 1946 and 1979. Don't forget to visit our four Shopping Mall Memory Lanes, which transport you through time to a mall in 1956, 1963, 1970 and 1977!

2006. The east end of the mall site was reconfigured in the 1990s. Bullock's was replaced by Home Depot and the original cinema was expanded into a stadium-seating 16-plex. In the year 2000, the East Wing was enlarged with new Macy's and Mervyn's stores. 6 years later, Macy's moved into the old May Company structure, with the original Macy's being abandoned.

Between 2010 and 2014, the mall's aging network of skylights was replaced. Newer, energy-efficient windows were installed, which reduced the shopping center's air-conditioning bills considerably.
