One Plymouth Meeting, a 9-floor office tower, was completed in March 1971. It was built on the south side of the shopping complex.

The second food court at PLYMOUTH MEETING was a small, six-unit row of shops installed in a cramped entrance hall. Named for its proximity to the mall's twin-plex theater, Cinema Lane was in operation by 1979.  

The nation's first Ikea opened at PLYMOUTH MEETING MALL in June 1985. The store was built, as a freestanding structure, in the southwestern periphery of the complex.
