Three culinary complexes have operated in PLYMOUTH MEETING MALL. Gourmet Village was unsuccessful. Cinema Lane also failed to catch on. As they say, the third time is a charm. The nine-unit Atrium Food Court was built in vacant cinema space and was a mall fixture for eighteen years.

A new theatrical venue was completed at the turn of the 20th century. The General Cinema Corporation Plymouth Meeting Mall 12 was a freestanding structure built in the mall's southeastern periphery. The megaplex was dedicated in December 1998 and rebannered -by American Multi-Cinema- in May 2002.
