Above and below are zooming views of the WINROCK CENTER shopping concourse. Proceeding eastward -on the right- is Walgreen Drug. This is followed by storefronts for Baker's Qualicraft Shoes and Lerner Shops.

A bit further east, and we still have Baker's and Lerner Shops on the right. However, on the left, we can now make out a Zale's store. The Central Mall was partially enclosed, with a roof overhead and vented grate work on the sides. This allowed for air circulation from outside, that often got quite turbulent within the shopping center. For this reason, it was jokingly referred to as "Windy Rock."

Anchoring the East Court of WINROCK CENTER was Fedway. The eight-unit chain was a division of Cincinnati-based Federated Department Stores. Other Fedway locations were in California, Texas and New Mexico (including a store in downtown Albuquerque).
