The Scheels store was doubled in size, with an expansion built between the fall of 2012 and spring of 2014. A mega-superstore was created that included an indoor ferris wheel, several sports simulators, a mini-bowling alley, deli-cafe, coffee shop and greatly expanded inventory of sporting goods and apparel.

An extended strip center was added to the east side of the mall, adjacent to the Scheels expansion. It housed Potbelly Sandwich Shop, Eileen's Colossal Cookies and Try It Again! consignment clothing.

Lastly, we have a circa-2017 physical layout. The Scheels expansion and adjacent store strip are indicated in light gray. With their completion, THE WESTERN MALL encompasses approximately 528,100 leasable square feet and contains fifty-one tenant spaces.
