The east anchor at MISSION VALLEY operated under three different nameplates between February 1961 and March 2017. Macy's was the most recent tenant. The Mid-Century Modern structure was designated as "historically significant" by San Diego's Historical Resources Board in January 2016. It is hoped that this action will spare the building from a bulldozer brigade.
