In a circa-2009 layout, we see the Macy's Furniture Gallery (light gray). It had opened in 2003. In 2009, a large-scale mall expansion was being considered. A 110,000 square foot lifestyle component was going be built along the west side of the complex. However, The Great Recession, and bankruptcy of General Growth Properties, slammed the brakes on any prospective mall renovation...at least for the time being.
