It took 8 years, but a permanent tenant for the abandoned Target was finally found. Texas' At Home set up shop at RUSHMORE MALL in mid-2016.

One vacant anchor is leased...then another is created. Herberger's crashed and burned as part of the Bon Ton Stores bankruptcy. The RUSHMORE MALL store went dark in August 2018.

Much has changed by the early 2020s. Planet Fitness moved into a portion of the old Scheels space in December 2015. Sears closed for good in April 2018, with Trader's Market taking its space. The mall's owner defaulted on loans in June 2018, with the complex being sold to a Texan firm in January 2022. 

The new owner renamed RUSHMORE MALL in April 2022. It would be known, henceforth, as UPTOWN RAPID.
