Wyoming's "classic era" shopping mall was completed in 1978. Today, it is one of three enclosed retail complexes in operation in the Cowboy State.

One of -if not- the first post-war shopping plazas in Wyoming opened in September 1954. Here we see an original (circa-1957) section of Casper's HILLTOP CENTER. This 126,000 square foot strip complex was substantially renovated in the mid-1990s, when a new Albertsons supermarket was added.

WHITE MOUNTAIN MALL, circa-1979. In its original state, the complex encompassed approximately 278,300 leasable square feet and contained forty-five stores and services. Free parking was provided for 1,900 autos. Anchoring the shopping hub were J.C. Penney, Woolworth's, Herberger's and an Ernst Home Center.
