Orange County's South Coast Plaza

The original logo for SOUTH COAST PLAZA was designed in the mid-1960s. It was a homage to the carousel that has operated at the mall since its March 1967 dedication.

The original two-anchor complex, as it appeared over 50 years ago. In this view, "the grandest mall of all" is surrounded by broad stretches of lima bean fields. This bucolic setting would appear quite different in the 21st century.
