Sears joined the mall, as a third anchor, in October 1971. The store, part of a new North Wing, encompassed 3 levels and 158,000 square feet.

The North Wing is shown in medium gray on this circa-2004 plan. The area in light gray shows the West Wing that was rebuilt, nearly from the ground up, following a devastating 1992 fire. New Strawbridge's and Lord & Taylor stores were completed in 1999 and 2000, respectively.
