The glory days for the new & improved CROSSROADS MALL were short. By the dawn of the 21st century, competition was coming on strong from an enlarged WESTMINSTER MALL and FLATIRON CROSSING, a hybrid mall and lifestyle center in nearby Broomfield. Anchors at CROSSROADS pulled up stakes between 1997 and 2003. The center closed for good in early 2004.
