Second Phase additions to WESTLAND CENTER are shown in shades of gray. Sears opened its doors in February 1963. The final two store blocks were completed in March of the same year. The shopping complex, which now spanned approximately 434,500 leasable square feet, had free parking provisions for 2,700 autos. The open-air facility would be fully enclosed in 1968.
