Anchor stores were the first and final original stores to open at NORTH VALLEY CENTER. May-D & F was completed in August 1967; "Monkey Wards" in January 1969. When fully realized, the mall housed around 550,000 leasable square feet and contained forty-one stores. Free parking was provided for 2,500 autos.
