Our first PLAZA layout dates to 1960. In its original state, the open-air complex encompassed approximately 260,000 leasable square feet and contained thirty-eight stores and services behind its awnings. Free parking was provided for 3,000 autos.

A freestanding Woolco discount mart was built directly across the street from the mall. This store, which was billed as the first Woolco in the West, welcomed first shoppers in April 1963.
