SOUTH SHORE MALL 1967. The complex was completed in two stages. Macy's, and the store blocks in black, were dedicated in 1963 and '64. J.C. Penney debuted in April 1967. With these modifications, the shopping hub -including its outparcels- encompassed approximately 939,700 leasable square feet. There was free parking for 5,300 autos.
