Above, we have the Gimbels Valley Stream electronics department. There are color and black & white televisions, monophonic record players (stereo systems have not -yet- been introduced), radios and records. "Platters" are available in 33 & 1/3, 45 or 78 rpm.

J.J. Newberry was one of two 5 & 10-type stores in the original GREEN ACRES mall (the other being F.W. Woolworth). The GREEN ACRES Newberry's, which encompassed 52,000 square feet on 3 levels, opened for business in May 1957.
