Between 1986 and 1991, the mall was given an extensive renovation. Two anchors were added and five parking structures built. Moreover, the basement level was gutted and reconfigured as an additional retail floor. This was also done at New Jersey's GARDEN STATE PLAZA (1989), Connecticut's CONNECTICUT POST MALL (1994) and Maryland's WESTFIELD WHEATON (2005).
