Greater Cincinnati's second mall-type shopping complex was named for its
proximity to three southwestern Ohio counties; Hamilton, Butler and
Warren.

The open-air TRI-COUNTY mall was built in the northern environs of Hamilton County, adjacent to an initial section of the Interstate 275 "Circle Freeway." The thoroughfare may be seen in the background of this image.

Our first TRI-COUNTY layout is a high-definition Complete Plan. It shows the location of each of the mall's fifty-one stores. In September 1960, Cincinnati's second shopping mall encompassed 500,000 leasable square feet, with free parking provided for 4,000 autos.
