Akron's O'Neill's chain anchored the north end of the shopping facility. The store, which opened for business in February 1967, included the posh Hilltop Room restaurant.

By 1995, an expansion and renovation of the mall had been completed. It added a Carousel and Food Court to the Main Entrance. On the north end of the complex, O'Neill's had been rebranded by Kaufmann's in 1993. The in-mall cinema (shown in dark gray) had been shuttered in 1987.
