America's first megaplex installation was housed on Level 8 of Los Angeles' BEVERLY CENTER mall.

The Cineplex Beverly Center 14 was renovated, downsized to 13-screens, and re-dedicated in March 1987. This incarnation closed in January 2006. The complex was in operation, as a Mann Theatres venue, between February 2006 and August 2009. Rave Motion Pictures took over in September 2009 and operated the megaplex until June 2010.
