GOLDEN RING MALL was given a wrecking ball renovation in the early 2000s, with only the Montgomery Ward building retained. A new CENTRE AT GOLDEN RING power plaza was anchored by three big box stores, with a smattering of fast food eateries in their periphery. The photo above, and the one that follows, show the current appearance of the old Montgomery Ward store.

The Wards building was sectioned into stores such as Office Depot, Petco and Panera Bread. These opened for business in late 2003.
