The Carrs-Safeway supermarket closed for good in September 2016 and re-opened, in  a new mall location, in 2019. The original store's building was substantially renovated. A new R.E.I. (Recreational Equipment, Incorporated) Co-op store was dedicated in early 2019.

Sears pulled up stakes in April 2018. In July, the Sears-less complex was renamed MIDTOWN MALL. At the time of this circa-2019 layout, there were twenty-four stores and services, with eight vacancies. Although information provided lists a total of 1,100 mall parking spaces, this figure seems a bit off. DIMOND CENTER, which is three times the size of MIDTOWN MALL, lists a total of 850.

The abandoned Sears was rebuilt into The Shops at Seritage, which
housed Nordstrom Rack, Planet Fitness, Guitar Center and a relocated
Carrs-Safeway. Stores were open for business by mid-2019.
