Welcome to the largest mall and retail history site on the internet. The MALL HALL OF FAME is a vintage shopping mall scrapbook. Its focus is on shopping complexes built -in the USA- between 1946 and 1979. Don't forget to visit our four Shopping Mall Memory Lanes, which transport you through time to a mall in 1956, 1963, 1970 and 1977!

A Woolco discount mart anchored the mall's southeast end. The store encompassed 100,000 square feet and included a Red Grille restaurant.

EASTBROOK MALL was formally dedicated in September 1967. By 1968, the fully-enclosed complex covered approximately 664,000 leasable square feet and housed fifty stores and services under its roof. Free parking was provided for 5,400 autos.

Less than a year after EASTBROOK was completed, another major retail hub opened for business right across the avenue. WOODLAND MALL, which covered approximately 750,000 leasable square feet, held its grand opening in March 1968.
