Bamberger's shut down their PRINCETON CENTER store in the spring of 1980, with M. Epstein assuming the vacant space. In addition to their new Princeton store, the chain had locations in Morristown, Somerville and Shrewsbury.

Epstein's shuttered their Princeton store in September 1990. A McCaffrey's Market gourmet grocer set up shop in the fall of 1992.
