The southeast facade of what was -reputedly- the largest Montgomery Ward in suburban Chicago. This store structure was demolished in March of 2006...before the discovery of asbestos at the mall site halted further demolition.

The rotting hulk of J.C. Pennney. As one can see, the parking area of the mall-no-more had been overtaken by trees and patches of weeds. This untended growth of foliage served to hide parts of the decaying mall, a monumental eye sore, from view of the surrounding neighborhood.
