The mall's Macy's (nee' Bamberger's) entrance. Over the course of three renovations, the entry, a remnant of the 1973-1978 expansion, was not updated. Its only alteration was a nameplate replacement done in 1986.

Here we see the transition zone between the original mall and 2-level South Wing. The circa-1960 section became a "Mid" Level, with the South Wing designated as "Upper" and "Lower" floors. This kind of split-level layout was also used when Greater St. Louis' SOUTH COUNTY CENTER was expanded in the late 1970s.
