We now zoom through time to the 21st century. An indoor-outdoor renovation and expansion of FASHION PLACE commenced in March 2007. The project would be delayed by the bankruptcy of General Growth Properties, but would be completed in March 2017. As part of the multi-phase project, the enclosed shopping concourse was refurbished.

Another rendering shows West Wing additions to FASHION PLACE. On the right are California Pizza Kitchen and Coldwater Creek. In the center are upscale stores that replaced the old Nordstrom. At far left is The Cheesecake Factory, which was the first structure completed as part of the 10-year-long mall redo.

In 2017, all anchor stores have been replaced with new buildings; Nordstrom (2009), Dillard's (2015) and Macy's (2017). The first section of Streetscape stores (2008) are shown in dark gray. A second Streetscape section (2011) appears in medium gray. The final new mall section (2017) is indicated in light gray. With these improvements, FASHION PLACE covers around 1,135,000 leasable square feet, with over 130 stores.
