The fully-enclosed NASSAU MALL was demalled between 1999 and 2006. In the 21st century, the big box-based facility encompasses 266,700 leasable square feet. Major stores include BJ's Wholesale Club, Best Buy and Michaels.

Adjacent to NASSAU MALL is CRESCENT PLAZA, an open-air strip center. It was completed in late 1985. Today, the complex is known as KOHL'S PLAZA. Major stores -aside from Kohl's- include PetSmart, Party City and a Loews Cineplex.
