"May's Lakewood" encompassed 4 levels and 347,000 square feet. It was May Company California's third branch store.

The Boys was one of two supermarkets at LAKEWOOD CENTER. These originally stood at the northeast and southeast corners of the mall. The Boys and Hiram's each encompassed 45,200 square feet; this at a time when a "large" supermarket would have covered no more than 30,000.
