By 2006, the name of the shopping hub has been changed to EASTRIDGE
MALL. In
addition to a new
Streetscape (which replaced the Liberty House and Ice Arena), there were now a 15-screen
multiplex and Sport Chalet store. Moreover, the interior of
the mall has been gutted and totally rebuilt.
A few additional changes have been made by 2022. Sport Chalet went bust and was replaced by a roller rink. Bed, Bath & Beyond morphed into 24 Hour Fitness and a Round 1 Bowling & Amusement Center. The mall was given an indoor-outdoor face lift in 2017, when it received a new moniker. Henceforth, it would be known as simply EASTRIDGE. In February 2020, Sears pulled up stakes after anchoring the mall for over 48 years.
