A full-line Dey Brothers store was the first bona fide anchor of the DEWITT SHOPPINGTOWN complex. The store, another northern extension of the strip plaza, opened in October 1966. Its main feature was the Erie Room, an upscale restaurant.

The lengthy strip center started out with the L-shape -in reverse- section in black. A north store block (dark gray) was added, with a larger expansion soon built (medium gray). This brought W.T. Grant, several inline stores, and the Kallet ShoppingTown Theatre. A third expansion added the aforementioned Dey Brothers Store for Homes. The complex was fully realized with a fourth northern extension, consisting of the full-line Dey Brothers store.
