August 1981 and the mall's second -and final- expansion opens for business. Shown in light gray, it includes a J.C. Penney and approximately eleven inline store spaces. HONEY CREEK SQUARE now houses around 693,900 leasable square feet.

During a 1992 redo, mall entrances were rebuilt. Here we see a close-up detail of the main entry, which faces South Honey Creek Drive. As part of the renovation, the official name of the facility was changed to HONEY CREEK MALL.
