The mall featured four operational anchors for a brief period in the early 2000s. Sears joined the fold in 2000, only to have Target pull up stakes in 2001. The first eateries in the Dakota Cafe Food Court (in medium gray) opened for business in late 2005.
COLUMBIA MALL had four operational anchors (again) between mid-2014 and early 2017. An empty Target had been retenanted by Scheels All Sports. The shuttering of Macy's (which had assumed the Marshall Field's spot in 2006) resulted in the vacancy of the south anchor. With Sears' late 2018 closing, the mall was left with two vacant anchor spaces.
