An aerial view of the mall, which -in its early days- was promoted as "(the) Piedmont's panorama of shopping pleasure". This photo was taken in the mid-1960s, after the twin-screen Cinema I & II (at top center) had been completed.

In a ground level view, we see the mall's east facade and Bon Marche anchor store. This mercantile opened, along with the mall, in October 1959. It was a branch of an Asheville-based chain and was only in operation at CHARLOTTETOWN for 4 years. After the store was shuttered -in January 1964- its space was taken by a branch of the J.B. Ivey (Ivey's) chain.
