Burlington (Coat Factory) was a GENESEE VALLEY CENTER tenant for nearly 11 years. The store, which replaced a shuttered Mervyn's, relocated away from the mall in May 2018. A Play Big indoor bounce house moved in in December of the same year.

As the Burlington store was being retenanted, the mall was presented with another major vacancy. Sears, which had been the very first operational tenant back in 1970, pulled up stakes. The 48-year-old store went dark in September 2018.
