Seattle-based The Bon Marche added a second anchor store to KARCHER MALL. Part of an extended South Wing, it comprised 60,000 square feet on a single level. The store welcomed its first patrons in August 1973.

By the autumn of 1973, a Phase II South Wing expansion (in gray) has added a second anchor department store and twin cinema. With these improvements, KARCHER MALL covers approximately 517,900 leasable square feet and contains fifty stores and services. Free parking is provided for 2,100 autos.
