A mid-'70s site plan shows additions built as part of the mall's first expansion. The aforementioned Woodward & Lothrop sits at the end of a new North Wing. Moreover, two multilevel parking garages have been built and Hecht's expanded. MONTGOMERY MALL now encompasses 1,003,000 leasable square feet. There are around ninety-eight stores and services under its roof.
