Welcome to the largest mall and retail history site on the internet. The MALL HALL OF FAME is a vintage shopping mall scrapbook. Its focus is on shopping complexes built -in the USA- between 1946 and 1979. Don't forget to visit our four Shopping Mall Memory Lanes, which transport you through time to a mall in 1956, 1963, 1970 and 1977!

Bethesda-based Hot Shoppes opened a cafeteria-style restaurant at P G PLAZA in July 1959. At the time, a "family dinner" could be bought for just $1.15!

A PG PLAZA logo montage features trademarks of eight charter tenants. The original mall included two 5 & 10-type stores (F.W. Woolworth and G.C. Murphy), as well as a Grand Union grocery, Peoples Drug and Bond Clothes.
