Gottschalks bit the proverbial dust in April 2009. Winco Foods gutted the building and opened for business in September 2016. COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA had come full circle. A supermarket anchored its south end, as it had in 1958.

Another idle mall space was filled when Planet Fitness assumed the old Ross Dress For Less location, in December 2016.

In the year 2020, the beleaguered COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA seems to be doing relatively well. Several of its empty store spaces have been retenanted, leaving just one major vacancy. The north anchor store has been idle since Macy's pulled up stakes in March 2016.
