A circa-2009 TOWNE CENTRE plan shows remnants of the old mall (Sears, its Auto Center, and five outparcels) in blue. Mervyn's, the large green space in the lower right, was the first store to open in the new complex. It was also the first store to be shuttered. Sears would go dark in February 2019.
