A physical layout of Greater Sacramento's mid-century mega mall shows how it was configured at the time of its April 1972 dedication. The center encompassed 1,259,000 leasable square feet and eventually contained 108 stores and services. Its parking lot accommodated 6,500 autos at one time.

The mall in 1999, soon after the incorporation of the city of Citrus Heights. The center has not been physically expanded, but some anchor stores have changed nameplates. Liberty House became a Macy's Women's in 1984, with a Men's Store located in BIRDCAGE WALK across the boulevard. After Weinstock's shut down in 1996, the SUNRISE MALL store re-opened as a new Macy's Men's.
