Another vintage snapshot shows the FASHION ISLAND Robinson's. Buffums', a second anchor department store, looms in the background. At the center of the photo is Robinson's renowned "World's Largest Wind Chimes" sculpture, which was designed by conceptual artist Tom Van Sant.

Buffums' was based in Long Beach. The Robinson's and Buffums' stores had ocean-view restaurants on their upper levels.
