The J.C. Penney Outlet mall entrance. Penney's sold their Outlet Store business...closing several locations in the process. The JAMESTOWN MALL operation was one of fifteen that became JC's 5 Star Outlets, in July 2013. Unfortunately, the entire JC's chain went under later in the year.

Sears, the original north anchor at JAMESTOWN, threw in the towel in January 2009. Macy's, the final operational department store, went dark in March 2014. In July of the same year, the entire mall was shuttered, ending over 40 years of service to the community. Its demolition commenced in September 2023.
