An early 1990s view of the SHOPPERS' WORLD courtyard, which is decorated for one of the mall's final yuletide seasons. On the left, we see the cupola atop the Santa Kiosk. In the distance is the 20-foot-high "General", who commanded a battalion of twenty-four wooden soldiers. These had been crafted, in 1975, by Hal Purrington, a mall maintenance worker.
