A cut-away view of the north end of the center. It had several unique design features, such as the absence of stairs or escalators between the 2 retail levels. Patrons entered from the parking lot and used ramps to get either up or down. In essence, the mall was handicapped-accessible years before this was mandated.

A late 1950s aerial view of the shopping facility, which was heralded as "The Showplace of New England". At the time of this photo, Jordan Marsh had just completed an expansion. A second mall addition would soon get underway.
