The original RIDGEDALE mall remained essentially the same for over 40 years. However, there were a series of anchor store nameplate changes. Donaldson's morphed into a Carson's (1988) and a Men's & Home Store [Dayton's (1995), Marshall Field's (2001), Macy's (2006)]. An interior face lift, depicted in the image above, was completed in the fall of 2007.

By the time of a circa-2008 layout, Dayton's main store has also been rebannered. It became a Marshall Field's Women's & Children's (2001) and Macy's Women's & Children's (2006). Although mall expansions had been proposed in 1990 and 2007, they weren't carried out. This left RIDGEDALE with a total of 141 stores and services.
