CENTRAL MALL was expanded in the mid-to-late '80s. The interior was redecorated. A 3-level Northeast Wing was added, which included a basement parking deck, Second Level office block and Dillard's Women's anchor store.

As part of the mall renovation and expansion, a shuttered Boston Store was divided into inline spaces. When all construction dust settled, the shopping complex covered over 800,000 leasable square feet.
