A circa-'63 layout of the SEMINARY SOUTH mall. The open-air complex encompassed nearly 900,000 leasable square feet and housed seventy stores. Its bi-level parking area accommodated 5,000 autos at one time.

The original two-anchor shopping hub was expanded with a New Generation Penneys.  The 3-floor store, which covered around 120,000 square feet, opened for business in the fall of 1964.
